WHAT IS PBIS?
Positive Behavioral Interventions & Support (PBIS) is a research-based framework for teaching and supporting positive behaviors for ALL students. This school-wide approach to discipline focuses on building a safe, positive environment in which all students can learn. The benefits of implementing PBIS for students include:
- Better academic performance
- Social Emotional Competence
- Reduced Bullying
- Reduced Office Referrals & Suspensions
3 R'S AT PALISADES
Positive Behavior Interventions and Supports (PBIS) is an acronym you will hear a lot of at Palisades. It refers to the way in which our school-family addresses the 3 R’s that are the backbone of our mission and vision.

READY TO LEARN
The 3 R's are reinforced daily with Wave Tickets. Students can earn Wave Tickets from staff members for being respectful, responsible, and/or ready-to-learn. Students who exhibit the 3 R's are recognized as Waves of the Week during the Friday Flag Ceremonies. The Wave tickets can also be used to buy things from the Wave store or earn a lunch with Principal Baggio or Assistant Principal McDougall!
