School Awards

Palisades Elementary School has been recognized as a Star School and California Honor Roll School over the past two years by the Campaign for Business & Education Excellence (CBEE). Based on an extensive analysis of student data for every public school and district in California, the CBEE recognizes schools for demonstrating consistently high levels of student academic achievement, improvement in achievement over time, and reduction in achievement gaps. The CBEE is the only school recognition program in the state that solely uses student achievement outcomes as their criteria. In addition, the CBEE identifies and recognizes higher performing schools in the state, particularly higher poverty schools that are closing achievement gaps. The CBEE is a leading, unifying voice for California business leaders who are committed to improving public education, closing the achievement gap, and helping to ensure college readiness and success.

At the conclusion of the 2025-2026 school year, Palisades Elementary was honored with California PBIS Platinum Recognition, the highest level of recognition awarded by the California PBIS Coalition. This prestigious designation recognizes schools that demonstrate exemplary implementation of Positive Behavioral Interventions and Supports (PBIS) with fidelity across all tiers of support, creating a safe, inclusive, and positive learning environment for every student. Platinum schools consistently use data-driven practices, proactively teach and reinforce positive behaviors, provide targeted supports for students when needed, and foster a school culture where every child feels valued, connected, and empowered to succeed. This recognition reflects the unwavering commitment of our staff, students, and families to building a school community where academic excellence and character development go hand in hand.
