PALISADES ELEMENTARY

Greetings Palisades Waves Families,

 

I am filled with excitement as I begin my second year as your Assistant Principal! The previous school year brought numerous valuable experiences, from fostering student success and staff growth to participating in delightful family fun evenings and leading PBIS initiatives - and these are just a few highlights. I eagerly anticipate creating even more cherished memories and continuing to serve the wonderful Capo Beach community for another school year. My journey in CUSD has spanned eleven years, during which I have served as an Elementary Assistant Principal and District SST/504 Coordinator.

 

My roots trace back to Minneapolis, Minnesota, but in 1998, I made the bold move to Huntington Beach to escape the cold winters and pursue my lifelong dream of becoming a teacher. Now, with 24 years in the field of education, I cherish each moment spent on this rewarding path. My early career involved teaching 3rd grade in Long Beach and 2nd grade in Arizona. Eventually, as an Instructional Coach for three years, I discovered my passion for becoming a school administrator. Being part of all aspects of school learning and events fills me with immense satisfaction, and I consider myself incredibly fortunate to have a career that I truly love.
